Stuck Pipe Prevention (SPP) – 5 Days Training
Well Specific Onsite Training (Coaching available)
Stuck Pipe is one of the most costly NPT events that an Operator can face whilst Drilling. With this course, it can be taught in the classroom as a general course, or on site, with real well data and on job coaching to ensure that the crew learn how to avoid SP events!
In partnership with Fearnley Procter, T&D has developed up to date material and saved clients 100’s of 1000’s of dollars per well. To learn more about our recent projects, check out our most recent job!
Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry – 1 Day
Have you ever wondered how Oil and Gas is created or taken from the Earth?
This introductory course introduces the well life cycle:
– Exploration, Drilling, Completion, Production, Intervention and Abandonment.
Anyone that works in the Industry, or has an interest in the industry will find this short course perfect for asking all of those “silly questions”!
Introduction to Offshore Operations – 1 Day
Oil and Gas Operators and Service Companies are faced with many challenges in finding, producing and managing wells.
One of the major challenges is the location. Offshore operations are very diverse and depend on the water depth as well as the characteristics of the Earth below the water.
This short course introduces the various types of rig/ship and the operational and managerial challenges that each type brings, throughout the well/field life cycle.
Exploration & Development of New Fields – 1 Day
Developing a new field requires extensive research into the Earth below the surface, using Geology and Surveying methods to identify the oil, gas & water content; the structure & size of it and the estimated reserves.
This short course looks at the technical and financial aspects of the process.
Introduction to Drilling – 1 Day
This short course introduces the equipment and basic concepts of the surface and downhole, equipment, fluids and tools required to Drill a well efficiently and safely.
Introduction to Completions – 1 Day
This short course introduces the equipment and basic concepts of the surface and downhole equipment and fluids that are used to complete a well, and prepare it for production.
Introduction to Cementing – 1 Day
This short course introduces the equipment and basic concepts of the surface and downhole equipment, tools and cement systems used to cement a well in the initial and remedial stages, for onshore, offshore and deepwater oil, gas & injection wells.
Introduction to Matrix Stimulation & Fracturing – 1 Day
This short course introduces the equipment and basic concepts of the surface and downhole equipment, tools and fluid systems used to either stimulate a matrix or fracture a formation, to increase oil or gas production from a variety of formation types.
Introduction to Coiled Tubing – 1 Day
This short course introduces the surface equipment and down hole tooling, basic design parameters and fluid systems that can be used to perform a multitude of interventions such as; Log, Drill, Mill, Clean out, perforate, fracture, cement, work over, abandon or investigate well conditions.
Introduction to Wireline &/or Slickline – 1 Day
This short course introduces the surface equipment and down hole tooling, basic design parameters and systems that can be used to intervene in open hole and cased hole wells, such as; log, perforate, abandon or investigate well conditions.
Introduction to Subsea Operations – 1 Day
This short course introduces the surface and subsurface equipment and methods used to operate subesa equipment and tooling.
Technical Workshops/Coaching Programs – Various
Clients will often face specific challenges on specific wells that require additional training and or coaching, either onshore or offshore, pre-spud or during operations.
T&D have the capability to develop material for specific well challenges to support the operations team in their situational awareness and decision making, to enable them to complete the specific operations successfully.
Introduction to Crew Resource Management – 3 Days
(Associated Non Technical Skills)

Maintenance resource management (MRM) is defined as collaboration and communication for maintenance safety and effectiveness. Effectiveness is measured through the reduction of maintenance errors and improved individual and team coordination and performance.
The MRM training course is highly relevant for personnel working in the following areas:
• Maturing assets;
• Extension of life to aging assets; and
• Greenfield projects e.g. newly commissioned FLNG
